Venerable Gunaratana Thero, Religious Advisor of Mahakaruna Buddhist Society handed over educational supplies to Hon. Minister Mahabir Pun, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation of Nepal, for school students affected by the recent Bhotekoshi floods in Rasuwa & Nuwakot District. The handover was facilitated by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu.
The donation made possible through the support of the Willing Hearts, Sri Lankaramaya Buddhist Temple and the Mahakaruna Buddhist Society, comprised school bags, stationery items and shoes for the affected school children.
This initiative reflects the spirit of compassion and solidarity that transcends borders, bringing together well-wishers and communities in support of children affected by natural disasters and further strengthening the bonds of friendship between Sri Lanka and Nepal.
